Abano
Terme is one of the most famous and important thermal spa destinations in the world, and
certainly the most ancient. It is a well known spa center particularly for the
'fango therapy' and mineral waters recommended and prescribed by doctors and specialists to treat joint
diseases, arthritis and rheumatism, muscular pains and inflammation, tendonitis, neuritis and
luxation.
Due to
modern science these same therapeutic techniques are now also being used for beauty and
wellbeing programs so that every form of relaxation and rejuvenation is available in a
most comfortable and pleasant environment.
Italy
is famous for it's fango mud which is widely used
for muscle and joint aches and pains and especially for
rheumatism and arthritis. This special mud is the result of the
chemical composition provided by Italy's volcano's. The mud is
then blended with the mineral water of the specific spa and left
to mature for a period of up to 18 months which then results in
a third synergy intensifying it's effect and bringing about the

In
Abano Terme the mud is the first curative element. In order to be used for the mud-therapy
it must be 'mature'. The "Pietro d'Abano" Thermal Study Centre, in
cooperation with the University of Padua, verifies inside our health resorts the
development process and the mud's quality.

From Venice
airport to Abano there is a shuttle bus at 9 EUROS , or private car
transfers at 90 EUROS (rates may change) which must be reserved
